50th Reunion Celebration

Five Decades of Alumni Connect July 1, 2023

On behalf of the board of the Lynn Aase MUN Legacy Foundation, thank you to alumni who attended the HBHS MUN 50th Reunion July 1, 2023, at Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach. It was gratifying to see alumni from different years come together to celebrate and pay tribute to founder Lynn Aase.

Many attendees made a contribution or a pledge to the Aase Fund.  THANK YOU!  Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, our nonprofit met our goal of raising $50,000 by the 50th anniversary. In fact, once all the pledges are fulfilled, the total may be as high as $75,000.

Money raised goes into a capital fund, and interest from the fund will go toward helping qualified juniors and seniors in need to attend national conferences. Last academic year (2022-23), we paid half the costs for two HBHS students to attend the Harvard MUN conference. In 2023-34, juniors will attend a conference in New York and seniors will attend a conference in Montreal, and we plan to assist some of those who need help.

The Lynn Aase MUN Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit EIN: 87-3238195, and thus contributions may be tax deductible.
