50th Anniversary All Years Reunion

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the HBHS Model United Nations program. In honor of our late teacher and mentor, Lynn Aase, and to celebrate a 50-year legacy of nationally and internationally recognized academic excellence, alumni are holding an all-year’s reunion at Meadowlark Golf Course in Huntington Beach, CA. We have reserved a venue and dinners at the Terrace Ballroom at Meadowlark; we hope that you will join us! The weekend of July 1, 2023, also coincides with the traditional Fourth of July Parade along Main Street. Get your tickets now through our EventBrite link.

Join us on Saturday, July 1, 2023, as we celebrate the memory of our remarkable teacher, and an academic program that has touched the lives of three generations. We are requesting a pledge of $100 to the Lynn Aase MUN Legacy Foundation to benefit qualified HBHS MUN students. You may either purchase a ticket in advance at EventBrite, or pay as you are able at the door, then pledge the remaining balance within one year.

The Lynn Aase MUN Legacy Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit charity registered in the State of California. Donations are tax-deductible.

Proceeds financially support qualified HBHS MUN students for travel and hotel expenses as they participate in national-level MUN conferences.

We need an accurate head count to accommodate attendees with food and drink. If you have not yet purchased a ticket via EventBrite but plan on buying a ticket at the door, email your name and RSVP not later than Friday, June 23, to:  doug@dougbradley.net

  • Bring your HBHS MUN memorabilia (photos, awards, etc.) and stories to share with other alumni

  • If you were ever the recipient of someone’s generosity to attend an HBHS MUN conference, please tell us your story. We are compiling a video record of past alumni who benefitted from the generosity of parents and teachers. You may send a short video tribute (mp4 file format) to:  hbhsmun50years@gmail.com

  • Buffet dinner and soft drinks provided

  • Cocktails available

  • Join your fellow HBHS MUN’ers and celebrate the memories!
  • Donations benefit qualified HBHS MUN students with expenses for travel and accommodations at national-level MUN conferences

If you have questions about the event or need directions, please contact Doug Bradley, LAMUNLF board president, at:   doug@dougbradley.net

We hope to see you on July 1st!

Doug Bradley
LAMUNLF board president

NOTE: All expenses incurred for the 50th HBHS MUN Anniversary and All-years Reunion are managed separately from Legacy Fund donation monies; donations to the Legacy Fund will not be used to finance the 2023 anniversary event. After expenses for the anniversary event are met from ticket sales, any leftover monies (if any) will be transferred to the Aase Fund.
